The backlog is dominated by two near-SAR 10M confirmed orders, both only partially invoiced:

Full economics of the relationship depend on completing and billing the ~SAR 20M confirmed backlog (S00001 + S03465).
Profit & Loss analysis
Margin
gross margin
Why the two methods differ
The GL books only SAR 243,875 of COGS on his invoices, but the project / analytic ledger carries SAR 5.59M of real direct cost (materials, labour, equipment). Method B uses the real cost.
Verdict & caveats
Verdict: NET PROFIT. On a fully-costed basis Business City has earned a gross profit of roughly SAR 1.68M (~23%) from this customer. This is gross margin on goods/services sold — before company overheads — not net company profit.
1. The raw GL margin (97%) is a paper figure. Only SAR 243,875 of COGS is posted on his invoices, against SAR 7.26M of revenue. The true cost of delivery lives on the project / analytic accounts (SAR 5.59M). Known BC Anglo-Saxon COGS-posting gap.
2. WIP / inventory. ~SAR 237k of cost still sits in WIP/inventory (not yet expensed). If those projects close, final cost rises a little and the Method-B margin falls slightly.
3. Partial analytic revenue tagging. Only SAR 3.67M of the 7.26M GL revenue carries analytic tags, so the raw analytic net (revenue 8.11M − cost 11.30M = −3.19M) is not a real loss — it reflects incomplete tagging, not reality. It was not used for the verdict.
4. Backlog. Two confirmed orders — S00001 (SAR 10.00M) and S03465 (SAR 10.07M) — are mostly un-invoiced. Two draft merged invoices (16289 = 2.10M, 16290 = 0.91M) were created from them and are excluded from all posted figures above.
5. Opening balance. SAR 6.10M (“Opening Balance 2025”, MISC/2025/12/0014, 2025-12-31) predates Odoo invoicing — pre-migration debt, now fully covered by payments.
6. Minor flags. INV/2026/00370 carries a 1-cent residual (rounding). Invoice moves balance (Σdebit=Σcredit). All posted invoices are ZATCA-cleared (edi_state=sent).
